The Healthy Kitchen Starter Pack: Foods & Tools You Actually Need

Everything You Need to Cook Clean, Simple, and Delicious Meals

If you want to eat better, it doesn’t start with your willpower. It starts with your kitchen.

Setting yourself up for healthy eating success isn’t about mastering fancy recipes. My meals are often boring AF. But it’s about building a space that makes smart choices easy. When your fridge is stocked, your tools are prepped, and your go-to meals are ready to go, it is alot easier to slip into a pattern of healthy behavior.

Here are my favorite staples in the kitchen.

1. My everyday

Fairlife Protein shakes: I dump these in my coffee instead of creamer sometimes.

  • Dive Bars: My breakfast most mornings heated up in a waffle iron or microwave. Use code Kinetic to get up to 33% off.

  • Low fat cottage cheese + corn chips: a weird salty/creamy snack combo that balances protein and salt when I need it most.

2. In My Pantry

  • Brown Rice: A versatile whole grain perfect for meal prep—microwaveable for fast, filling meals.
  • Skinny Dipped Almonds: A sweet and satisfying snack that keeps you full without the sugar crash.
  • Verb Energy Bars: Pocket-sized caffeine + protein to power your day without reaching for coffee.
  • Fruit Bars: Fast fuel for busy days—these are great to throw in your gym bag or car.

3. The Supporting Cast

  • Pyrex Glass Containers: Perfect for storing and reheating meals.
  • Reusable Ziploc Containers: Convenient for portion control and freezing.

  • Food Scale: Never trust the labels. Always weigh out your portions.
  • Cup that you take EVERYWHERE. Make sure you get that water in.

Meal prep doesn’t have to mean eating the same thing every day. Think ingredients, not recipes. A little planning + a stocked kitchen = a big win for your body and your sanity.
